Side Effects Common Side Effects Include Headache, Drowsiness, Urge To Vomit, Dizziness And Serious Allergic Reaction Such As Swelling Of The Face, Lips, Tongue Or Throat And Difficulty In Breathing.
Special Precautions Renal impairment. Pregnancy, lactation; children <6 yr.Do not take this medication for several days before any allergy testing since test results can be affected. Although drowsiness is uncommon at usual doses under normal circumstances, be aware that this medication may have such effects, before engaging in activities requiring alertness.
Drug-Interaction Co-admin with ketoconazole or erythromycin may increase plasma levels of fexofenadine. May increase adverse effects of other anticholinergics and CNS depressants. May increase arrhythmogenic effect of antipsychotic agents (phenothiazines); avoid concurrent usage. May reduce the efficacy of betahistine. Pramlintide may increase the anticholinergic effect of fexofenadine. Bioavailability may be increased by verapamil. Efficacy may be reduced by rifampin.
Drug Interaction: Montelukast is known to interact with other drugs like phenobarbital Sodium, prednisolone and prednisone, rifampicin. Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required.

Impact During Lactation: There are no controlled studies in breastfeeding women, however the risk of untoward effects to a breastfed infant is possible; or, controlled studies show only minimal non-threatening adverse effects.
